In the sun-kissed island of Maricaban, Santa Fe, Cebu, where the waves tell stories of resilience and hope, a new chapter in history is being written. For the first time, the 4th District of Cebu has a Board Member representative who hails from Santa Fe, a testament to the changing tides of leadership and representation. At the heart of this milestone is BM Jenny Zata Armamento, a proud daughter of Maricaban, whose journey from hospitality to public service is nothing short of inspiring.

A Legacy of Strength and Determination
Born into the lineage of the Batiancilas on her mother’s side and the Zatas on her father’s, BM Jenny grew up with the values of hard work, perseverance, and service deeply ingrained in her. She later married into the Armamentofamily, further strengthening her roots in the island community.
With an academic record marked by excellence, BM Jenny graduated Cum Laude from the University of San Carlos – Main Campus with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. She then built a distinguished career in the hospitality industry, serving as a manager in a five-star hotel before venturing into business. Today, she is a successful entrepreneur, owning and managing a hotel and restaurant business that contributes to the local economy.
From Businesswoman to Public Servant
BM Jenny’s transition from business to public service was driven by her deep-seated passion for community welfare. Recognizing the challenges faced by her fellow islanders, she took on the role of First Councilor of Maricaban, Santa Fe, where she worked tirelessly to bridge the gaps in essential services and economic opportunities. Her leadership and commitment have now led her to a greater platform as the first-ever Board Member from Santa Fe, representing the 4th District of Cebu.

Advocating for Progress: BM Jenny’s Platform

• Tourism and Livelihood (Kabuhayan):

A Promise of Inclusive Growth
BM Jenny’s leadership is founded on the belief that true progress should reach every corner of the community, especially the islanders who have long been yearning for better opportunities. As she steps into her new role as Board Member, she carries with her a promise: to be a voice for the people of Santa Fe and the entire 4th District.
