With 15 founding officers in attendance, the CCCI Bogo City Chapter was formally presented and inducted during the 3rd CCCI General Membership Meeting (GMM) held on August 27 (Tuesday) at the Grand Ballroom, bai Hotel Cebu.
Led by Chapter President Rosalina Domingo, the chapter has 45 member companies from various sectors representing trade, service and manufacturing/ industry. The Executive Committee are as follows: Gabrielle Cassandra J. Sanchez, Vice President, Stella Dela Rama, Vice President for Finance & Administration, James Bake Masong, Vice President for External Affairs and Relations, Jonathan Dadley, Vice President for Membership Promotions & Relations, Blake Go and Cham Hermosa, Vice Presidents for Business Development & Management Services, and Bogo City LEDIPO, Lucia M. Nailon as Board Secretary.
Moreover, the trustees include Lyndon Acusar, Luis Asierto, Atty. Carlo Jose A. Martinez, Chito Maribao, Jessie Sumanting, Gabrielle Cassandra Sanchez, Zenaida Quisido, and Zeallaine D. Lepiten represents manufacturing/industry. While Manuel Sanchez Jr., Athena Vina Buxton, Don Cenen Ho, and Renato Co represent the Trade Sector. Further, Kurt Mier, Dr. Kim Cabatana, and Edgar Molejon represent the Service Sector. Affiliate Sector members from the SBBA, represented by Albert Oporto, and from the UCLA, represented by Ma. Arlyn Espinosa from the Service sector.
To mobilize the day-to-day operation of the Chamber, Atty. Carlo Jose A. Martinez, supports the team as CCCI Bogo City Executive Director.
Positioned to advance the interests of the Bogo City business community, the chapter’s marching order is to mobilize the community, foster a nurturing environment where businesses can flourish, advocate for policies that spur economic growth, and actively contribute to the development of the countryside.
Located in the northeastern coast of Cebu province with 29 barangays, Bogo City is dubbed as “The Investment Destination of the North,” Bogo is a fourth-class component city with some 90,000 residents and a much bigger daytime population. Moreover, the city has 13 commercial banks, four (4) popular fast-food franchises, and a Cebu-based mid-sized mall as proof of its growing local economy.
On the housing front, Bogo is emerging as a preferred residential area in the north with the entry of both national and local players who are constructing house and lot subdivisions for the emerging middle class.
With the vibrant and growing economy, the chapter has charted not only to expand the association but design and develop programs to strengthen the capabilities of its members with the support of its mother chamber, the Cebu CCI.
Steadfast in its commitment as the engine of Cebu’s business growth, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry continued to delivering its programs and services to its members and the rest of the Cebu business community not only by investing in workforce development to enhance the competitiveness but also develop policies to creating a more conducive environment which spur economic growth and development for Cebu.
