The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) together with Famcor Franchise Management and Executive Development Corporation, and in partnership with the office of Liga Ng Mga Barangay and Cebu City Planning Office, conducted the Barangay-Based Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (BBEMP) Orientation for the Barangay Captains in the North and South Districts of Cebu City on July 26, 2021, via Zoom.
The morning orientation was attended by 32 of the 46 North District barangays and the afternoon orientation was attended by 17 of the 34 for South District barangays. Representatives from the office of Hon. Ong and the City Planning Office also attended.
2 CCCI BBEMP Focal Persons and 2 FAMCOR consultants comprised the secretariat team.
Members of the CCCI Board of Trustees led President Felix, Taguiam, Immediate Past President Virgilio IPP Nonoy Espeleta, VP for Business Development Jay Tuvallos, Trustee Katherine Cheng and Executive Director May Elizabeth Ybañez were present.
The objective of the orientation meeting was to provide the participants an overview of the Barangay-Based Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (BBEMP) and seek their active support to identify micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) to participate in the program.
As one of the Pillars of the Cebu Investments Development Concierge Center (CIDCC) BBEMP, aims to o capacitate and build confidence of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to pivot, reboots and reformat their business models to recover and build back better from the COVID-10 pandemic. CCCI is implementing the CIDCC project in partnership with the City Government of Cebu.
