A forty-four (44) delegation composed of business leaders and entrepreneurs from various member companies across diverse sectors joined the 3-day HKTDC Food Expo PRO 2024, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on August 14 to 17.
Organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the business mission was an exceptional occasion for collaboration and a great networking opportunity between Cebu and Hong Kong entrepreneurs. Moreover, it proved to be an excellent avenue for Cebuano micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as F&B industry players, to gain valuable insights into industry trends and potential areas for improvement by observing technological advancements, new products and designs, marketing strategies, and customer interactions.
Additionally, the delegation had an opportunity for a courtesy visit to the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, Consul General Germinia V. Aguilar-Usudan and Vice Consul Allan G. Penote. Both officials expressed their strong support for enhancing economic ties and fostering collaboration between the two regions.
Steadfast with CCCI’s commitment to forge strong camaraderie and partnership of CCCI members with international chambers of commerce, a special overseas workshop and networking event with the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC), led by Chairman Mr. Patrick Yeung and Mr. Dewan Saiful Alam, Chairman of the Asia, Africa & Middle East Committee was held where 70 members of the HKGCC in attendance. The meeting offered a valuable opportunity for the CCCI delegates engaged in insightful discussions with Hong Kong business leaders, exchanged best practices, and explored potential areas for collaboration and partnership.
