Cebu Provincial Government Launches First Mobile Kitchen for Compassionate, Decentralized Disaster Care

In an immediate and targeted response to the humanitarian needs arising from the 6.9-magnitude earthquake, the Cebu Provincial Government, led by People’s Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro, has deployed its first state-of-the-art Mobile Kitchen.

The essential unit was activated and transported to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City just four days after its successful test run, highlighting the Capitol’s focus on swift operational readiness. Northern Cebu remains the center of intensified relief and rehabilitation efforts following the destructive seismic event, necessitating sustained support for affected communities.

The Mobile Kitchen serves as a critical, self-sustaining logistical asset on the ground. It is now fully operational, ensuring a continuous supply of hot, safe, and nutritious meals for patients currently housed at the Bogo Provincial Hospital, the tireless medical frontliners on rotation, and displaced families seeking temporary shelter nearby.
