Landers Superstore Cebu continues to implement health protocols to ensure a safe and secure environment for its members after the approval of its application for Safety Seal certification.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 7 has awarded the Safety Seal Certification to Southeastasia Retail Inc. - Landers Superstore Cebu.
The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government. The program aims to assure the consumers and the public in general of establishments compliance with the minimum public health standards set by the government.
“It's our mission to keep our members safe and protected against the COVID-19 virus while shopping in Landers. We support government initiatives to create an atmosphere of health and safety in the economic sector,” says Landers Superstore Cebu general manager Raul Punzalan.
Since last year, Landers Superstore Cebu has been implementing health protocols required by the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
To assure its members, Landers Superstore Cebu sought the Safety Seal Certification to show its compliance to health and safety protocols as a way to protect all the stakeholders of Landers against the COVID-19 virus.
“We always look at the welfare of our members and assure them that Landers is the place to shop without worry while shopping,” Mr. Punzalan explained.
Landers Cebu’s security personnel ensures the full implementation of social distancing, proper wearing of face mask and face shield, and physical distancing. Floor signages and directional signages also guide members on physical distancing.
Checkout counters, pushcarts, and display fixtures where members have direct hand contact are also sanitized regularly.
A sanitized foot mat has been located at the entrance while alcohol is made available at the entrance and checkout counters.
All employees, security guards, and support staff of Landers Cebu are fully vaccinated.
Also, it limits the number of members allowed inside the superstore at any given time.
