Globe powers a more community-first Love Boracay 2026, strengthening connectivity across one of the Philippines’ top island destinations ahead of the Labor Day “Love Boracay” festival peak, in support of the local government unit and to meet rising demand for fast, reliable connectivity.
In response, Globe strengthens its 5G network - the widest 5G coverage in the country, and the most consistent mobile network in the Philippines - across key areas of the island, with more than 30 5G sites in Boracay delivering a full network experience for both residents and tourists.
Coverage spans high-traffic zones such as White Beach and Bulabog, ensuring that festival-goers can stay seamlessly connected whether they are uploading content, making cashless transactions, or staying in touch with loved ones. With this expanded footprint, Globe provides consistent speed and reliability even during periods of heavy usage, enabling a smoother and more dependable digital experience across the island.
This strong network performance is matched by a more intentional, community-first approach to on-ground engagement. As Boracay continues to balance tourism growth with sustainability following its landmark rehabilitation, the need for solutions that support both visitors and residents has become increasingly important.
From May 1 to 3, Globe will offer the e-Trike libreng sakay, providing free rides for residents and tourists in Boracay island. The initiative is open to Globe subscribers. Just show the Globe network icon on their mobile phones and present a government or company ID for quick verification by on-ground brand ambassadors. Non-Globe users may also join by purchasing and activating a Globe Prepaid SIM at designated booths.
By offering a simple and accessible way to get around during the busy festival period, Globe supports more sustainable mobility options on the island.
Globe brings its services closer through on-ground activations at D’Talipapa from May 1 to 3, featuring 5G SIM purchase, GlobeOne app download, SIM registration, and 5G promo loading. Visitors can also join a QR survey to receive a free tote bag, while Globe At Home offers freebies for UnliSurf 749 loads and plan applications. These are also available at the Globe Microshop in Budget Mart EMall Station 3 until May 15.
“At Globe, we’re delivering better connectivity and experiences that will make Love Boracay more festive and unforgettable, especially amid today’s challenges,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer.
By combining strong network performance with on-ground initiatives, Globe helps ensure that Love Boracay 2026 is not only a high-energy festival but also a more inclusive and community-centered experience. From supporting local mobility to enabling digital interactions, Globe continues to create value beyond connectivity.
