GOVERNOR BARICUATRO’S ADMINISTRATION KICKS OFF MASSIVE TWO-DAY LOCAL AND OVERSEAS JOB FAIR, GATHERING THOUSANDS

In a strong demonstration of its commitment to job generation, the administration of Governor Pam Baricuatro successfully launched a massive two-day Local and Overseas Job Fair, held on October 18 and 19, 2025, at the Cebu Provincial Capitol. The event saw thousands of applicants gather, eager to connect with over 60 participating local companies and international recruitment agencies.

The initiative, spearheaded by Governor Baricuatro, is a key strategy to provide one-stop shop employment opportunities for all Cebuanos, offering a streamlined process for job seekers to secure their next career path.

The job fair, organized by the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) of the Cebu Provincial Capitol, successfully mobilized a wide array of top employers. Local positions were heavily available across critical sectors, including Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), tourism, manufacturing, and retail. Meanwhile, overseas opportunities focused on high-demand sectors such as healthcare professionals, skilled trades, and service industry roles across the Middle East, Asia, and North America.

Registration for applicants began as early as 7:00 AM, with thousands of job hopefuls arriving at the Capitol grounds to take advantage of the diverse offerings.

Governor Pam Baricuatro emphasized the administration’s focus on economic opportunity:

"This job fair isn't just about filling vacancies; it's about building futures and strengthening our province.
