Her Style, Her Era: SM J Mall transforms into a runway of timeless fashion in celebration of Women’s Month

This March, SM J Mall partners with Clothes for Life and the Cebu Young Designers Competition (CYDC) for Her Style, Her Era, a fashion exhibit honoring iconic women and timeless style. The exhibit showcases pieces designed by some of Cebu’s most esteemed fashion creators and worn by influential women.

The exhibit highlights remarkable creations from top designers, each showcasing iconic women who have made a lasting impression. Marichu Tan’s elegant design for Leslie Cokaliong reflects timeless sophistication, while Wendell Quisido’s piece for Regine Velasquez exudes grace and star power. Philip Rodriguez’s refined craftsmanship for Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen shines alongside Harley Ruedas’ stunning creation for Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, which embodies confidence and elegance. Philipp Tampus’ striking design for Gabbi Ceniza Carballo, Miss Universe Cebu 2025, also stands out, capturing poise and empowerment through fashion.

Running until March 20, the fashion exhibit located at The Atrium (Upper Ground) takes visitors through different fashion eras, highlighting the uniqueness of women’s fashion across time:

• 1920s-50s: From Flappers to Femme Fatales

A tribute to the evolution from flapper fashion to old-Hollywood elegance.

• 1960s-90s: From Mods to Supermodels

Showcasing the rise of mod culture, power dressing, and the supermodel era.

• 2000s–2020s: From Haute to Hip

Reflecting the blend of high fashion with streetwear and digital-age trends.

Capping off the celebration is the CYDC Fashion Show on March 22, featuring emerging designers redefining modern women’s fashion while honoring timeless elegance.
