Art comes alive once again as the Manila Bulletin Sketchfest, the country’s biggest on-the-spot drawing competition, unfolds tomorrow, June 28, 2025, bringing together young artists, hobbyists, and seasoned illustrators for a full day of creativity and community.
The annual Sketchfest, organized by Manila Bulletin, continues its tradition of providing an open platform for artists of all ages to showcase their talent, connect with fellow creatives, and celebrate the rich visual arts culture of the Philippines. This year’s event features three legs: Cebu, Davao, and Manila — with the Cebu leg happening tomorrow, followed by SM City Davao on July 26 and SM Mall of Asia on August 23. The series promises bigger gatherings with exciting prizes, live art demonstrations, and various categories designed to challenge and inspire participants.
Artists will gather at the venue starting in the morning to sketch live on the spot, with participants expected to complete their pieces within the given timeframe. Family, friends, and art enthusiasts are welcome to visit, support the artists, and enjoy the day’s activities.
Sketchfest is part of Manila Bulletin’s commitment to nurture Filipino creativity and highlight the importance of the arts in telling stories and capturing the spirit of the nation.
