Singapore Cancer Center Inc. marks its first year of service to cancer patients and survivors in Cebu, celebrating this milestone alongside the launch of its expanded clinical services.

Since opening its doors on February 7, 2025, the Center has steadily grown into a multidisciplinary cancer care hub committed to bringing high-quality, patient-centered oncology care closer to home.

In response to the increasing needs of patients across the Visayas, Singapore Cancer Center has expanded its offerings to include an Infusion and Ambulatory Treatment Unit for chemotherapy and immunotherapy, a dedicated Oncology Pharmacy, a Primary Clinical Laboratory in partnership with New World Diagnostics, a Molecular Laboratory in partnership with Detoxicare Philippines, and a Dental Clinic and Head & Neck Tumor Clinic.

These expanded services strengthen the Center’s capacity to deliver comprehensive care—from diagnosis and treatment to supportive services and survivorship—within an integrated clinical setting.

Alongside its clinical growth, Singapore Cancer Center underscores the importance of public–private collaboration in improving cancer outcomes.

Its affiliated medical doctors, including medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, surgical oncologists, breast surgeons, pathologists, and other specialists, took the initiative to engage with local government leaders to advance a landmark  Free Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer screening ordinance in Cebu.

This effort was carried out in partnership with medical societies, particularly the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology and The Medical Oncology Group - Cebu, to ensure that early cancer detection is institutionalized as a public health priority.

Just recently, during a public hearing before the Cebu City Council, these collective efforts culminated in the drafting and creation of the ordinance—marking a significant step toward expanding access to organized, government-supported cancer screening programs.

Notably, even prior to Governor Pamela Baricuatro and Mayor Nelson Archival officially assuming office after the elections in 2025, a series of audience meetings and policy discussions had already been organized to bring cancer to the forefront of the local health agenda. These engagements were led by the Cebu Cancer Coalition, a group of medical doctors united in the fight against cancer across the full continuum of care, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and survivorship.

Guided by its commitment to Singapore expertise, Cebuano hospitality, and Philippine pricing, Singapore Cancer Center continues to align clinical excellence with advocacy, working alongside government and the medical community to ensure that quality cancer care is accessible, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of Cebuano patients and their families.
