SM Seaside City Cebu celebrates Cebuano cinema as “A Quiet Bloom” debuts on the big screen

Cebuano cinema took center stage at SM Seaside City Cebu as filmmakers, media partners, content creators, and moviegoers gathered for the press conference and premiere of “A Quiet Bloom,” the first Bisaya Girls’ Love (GL) feature film.

Leading the celebration on June 21, 2026 were stars Victoria Leslie Ingram and Leigh Sunga, alongside filmmakers Yamie Cerna and Drae Cerna, who shared insights into the inspiration, challenges, and collaborative effort behind bringing the film to life. Produced by Version 510 Productions in association with Wolfpack Productions and BisayaFlix, A Quiet Bloom follows two young women whose paths unexpectedly cross, setting them on a journey of self-discovery, connection, and personal growth. Through a distinctly Cebuano lens, the film explores themes of love, identity, family, and acceptance.

Following the press conference, guests proceeded to the film’s premiere screening, where audiences became among the first to experience the landmark Cebuano production on the big screen.
