SM SEASIDE CITY CEBU CELEBRATES WORLD CHORAL DAY

SM Seaside City Cebu celebrated World Choral Day on December 8 with choral groups from Cebu at the Mountain Wing Atrium, honoring the beauty and power of music and harmony. 

The World Choral Day is an initiative from the Latin American Vice-Presidency of the International Federation for Choral Music, proposed and approved by its General Assembly held in Helsinki, Finland back in August 1990. Since then, thousands of choirs have joined in the celebration of World Choral Day on or around the 2nd Sunday in December in the past two decades, wherein millions of singers across the globe have participated in World Choral Day concerts. 

This year, the World Choral Day Celebration in the Philippines falls on December 8, which is also the celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception for the Catholic Church. SM Seaside City Cebu welcomed Cebu’s finest and magnificent choral groups, such as Koro Teknoy of Cebu Institute of Technology - University, Huni Habagat of University of Southern Philippines Foundation, CTU Choristers of Cebu Technological University, CNU Chorale of Cebu Normal University, UP Serenata of University of the Philippines - Cebu, UC Chorus of University of Cebu, Salazar Singing Ambassadors of Salazar Institute of Technology, and Los Cantantes de Cebu — who all came together to share their talent for a celebration of harmony.
