SM Seaside City Cebu responds swiftly to Sitio Mabapo fire victims in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City

Following the devastating fire that hit Sitio Mabapo, Bayabas Street, Barangay Mambaling on March 30, 2025, SM Seaside City Cebu, through SM Foundation’s Operation Tulong Express (OPTE), swiftly mobilized relief efforts to support affected families.

The fire left 20 homes completely destroyed and five others partially damaged, displacing numerous residents and leaving them in urgent need of assistance. On April 1, 2025, SM Seaside City Cebu, together with dedicated SM employee-volunteers, distributed 61 Kalinga Packs to affected families. Each pack contained essential food and water supplies, including bottled mineral water, rice, ready-to-eat meals, and instant noodles, helping families sustain their basic needs during this challenging time.

Operation Tulong Express (OPTE) is a social good initiative led by SM Foundation in partnership with SM Supermalls and SM Markets.
