Mezzo Hotel Marks First-Ever International Chef’s Day with Culinary Innovations

Mezzo Hotel celebrates its 1st Ever International Chef’s Day with the theme “Culinary Innovations,” highlighting the creativity, skills, and passion for gastronomy demonstrated by its employees through a friendly culinary competition.
The event features 18 dishes across three categories: Appetizer, Main Dish, and Dessert, showcasing the culinary talents of employees from the kitchen and other hotel departments. Through this competition, participants present their own interpretations of various dishes, demonstrating their skills in preparation, flavor development, and food presentation.
Each category features two kitchen staff members alongside employees from other departments. Participants are allotted 30 minutes for preparation and presentation per category, followed by 15 minutes of judging.
Evaluating the culinary creations are Carlo Andrew Olano of Kalami Cebu, Rick Riem Cadiente, and Staphen Dave Ponce of Cebu Technological University, who bring their expertise and appreciation for culinary artistry to the competition.
Beyond the competition, the celebration recognizes the dedication, precision, and creativity that go into every dish. It also provides a platform for Mezzo employees to showcase their individual capabilities and explore innovative approaches to food preparation and presentation.
Through this inaugural celebration, Mezzo Hotel honors the people behind every culinary creation and recognizes their contribution to delivering memorable dining experiences. The event highlights the importance of continuous innovation in the culinary industry, where techniques, ingredients, and creative ideas come together to create distinctive dishes.
As Mezzo Hotel celebrates International Chef’s Day, the occasion pays tribute to the passion and craftsmanship that define the culinary profession, reinforcing the value of creativity and excellence in every plate served.
